    Dr. Roy E. Smith, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology. He is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. After completing his post-doctoral training, Dr. Smith joined the faculty at the Ohio State University (OSU) where he served as the director of the Hematology Fellowship Training Program, the Clinical Coagulation Service, and the OSU Hemophilia Center. Dr. Smith is a former chairman of the Central Investigational Review Board for Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program of the National Cancer Institute and has played a key role in revising its role in the conduct of Cooperative Group Pogram trials.

    Professor Kostas Konstantopoulos graduated from Athens University Medical School (1979). He trained in General Internal Medicine and Haematology in the First Department of Medicine of the University of Athens at Laikon Hospital. He received his PHD degree in the topic of HLA antigens in the University of Athens. Qualified the relevant State Examinations and he got the Specialties in Medicine and Haematology. He trained in the division of Haematology at Karolinska Institute and Hospital (Stockholm, Sweden). Afterwards he attended the Diploma in Clinical Pathology Course in London University, Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital London. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Hematology of Athens University Medical School at Laikon University Hospital.

    Dr. You-Wen Qian, Division Director of Hematopathology and Laboratory Information Systems and Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Qian completed his medical education from Wannan Medical College in China, Masters in Medical Informatics from University of California at Davis and PhD in Medical Informatics from Rutgers University. Dr. Qian received Best Lecture Series in Clinical Pathology from UTMB Galveston in 2013, 2012 and 2011. He has been awarded by UT Transform Grant and Beckman Coulter AQUIOS research grant.     Dr. Fauzia Rana, Division Chief and Associate Professor of Hematology & Medical Oncology, Garrison Research Professor, and Associate Director for Breast Cancer services at University of Florida – College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Dr. Rana completed her Masters in Medical Education and has been chosen to receive the University of Florida-College of Medicine’s Exemplary Teacher Award in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011. Dr. Rana completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and completed her Fellowship in Hematology & Medical Oncology at Harvard University in Boston, MA. Dr. Rana’s areas of interest include health disparities, breast cancer, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, malignant hematology, and benign hematology. Dr. Rana is Board Certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Rana is currently Associate Program Director of Medical Oncology Fellowship at University of Florida – College of Medicine and is Key Clinical Faculty for the Internal Medicine training program.

He obtained his MD in medicine from the Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Zhejiang, China. His PhD from University of Lund School of Medicine, Malmo, Sweden, in Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.     Dr. Ken H. Young research interest includes several types of hematologic malignancies, with special emphasis on pathogenesis of malignant lymphomas, especially diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The goal of his team is to explore and identify genetic and non-genetic biomarkers, including p53, Myc, pTEN, Mdm2, Arf, Bcl-2, Bcl-6 genes, alone or in combination with other abnormalities in DLBCL, that predict cancer prognosis and susceptibility. Dr.Ken H.Young primary study of genomic alterations is on TP53 tumor suppressor pathway and secondary focus is on Myc oncogene.
